Learning Outcome (What I've learnt)
From the topic (Architecture Design)
- Simple architectures in our lives are not made simply. Every architecture was designed and build under
meticulous thoughts and efforts by architect. For a building as simple as a housing estate, the architect has to take into consideration of many things like height that the building can go up to, features of the building, the condition of the soil which the building is to be build on, even flow of traffic in the surrounding, and etc.
-Other than the exterior of the architecture which already requires plenty of effort, the interior, or in other words the planning of space is even more tedious. Due to space limitation, the architect will have to effectively plan how the interior looks like. Eg, how should the tables and chairs be arranged, where certain furnitures must be placed and even how to create certain ambience inside the building.
From this project
-To determine what sort of building should be built on a certain piece of land/space, an important factor to consider is the surrounding. Extensive research has to be done to know about existing facilities in the surrounding, and what building best benefits the environment. And such extensive research has to be done over a long time.
-Chain of thoughts is a very important aspect of any project especially this. One must be able to link together different piece of important information to know exactly what should be done at certain points and only then work can be carried out smoothly. If the chain of thoughts is broken, it will be hard to carry out the project coherently resulting in broken pieces of information and futile progress.
